Welcome to Daytrotter!

I’m happy to announce that my Daytrotter solo session is now live! Wedding Day is a previously unreleased track making its world debut. CLICK TO LISTEN

This was a great experience, and a really busy day! Justus Brake (bassist on “See Me Again”) drove from Cleveland to Chicago through the snow the night before.

We woke up late and I drove us to Rock Island, IL the following morning for our afternoon tracking sesssion. My buddies Eric and Vytas came along too.

Daytrotter sound engineer Mike Gentry recorded my session. There are around 25 sessions recorded per week! This means Mike is an awesome engineer. It also means Daytrotter has an unmatched live performance archive. Earlier this year, Forbes named Daytrotter the #1 site for music lovers. Some of my favorite sessions are M. Ward, Billy Joe Shaver, and Local Natives. Check out the trailer for the documentary, Welcome to Daytrotter.

After the taping we ate a quick lunch and motored back to Chicago, arriving just in time for our show that night at Honky Tonk BBQ. The life!
