Andrew Karnavas Releases Debut Children’s Album as AndyRoo: “Welcome to the AndyRooniverse”

Posted by on May 3, 2011

Andrew Karnavas launches his new children’s project “AndyRoo and the AndyRooniverse” with a debut album dubbed Welcome to the AndyRooniverse, available at http://www.andyrooniverse.com. Recorded at the legendary SugarHill Studios and at the nation’s leading children’s museum, the Children’s Museum of Houston, Welcome to the AndyRooniverse invites children of all ages to take a musical journey to a town of animals, where they encounter Silly Sal the Salamander, lemurs and monkeys climbing trees, and an affable platypus. Inspired by his featured performances on Radio Disney AM 1590 and his personal experience playing music for friends’ children and his own niece and nephew, Karnavas developed the AndyRoo persona to create real family-friendly music that children would love and parents could rock out to. Karnavas showcased some of the new music to rave reviews from audiences and bloggers at SXSW 2011 with PBS Kids, opening for Trombone Shorty and MyNameIsJohnMichael, as well as on the Kids Country Stage with Radio Disney at the 2011 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo: “The energetic debut album from AndyRoo is bursting with imagination and creativity. AndyRoo’s extensive music background provides a solid basis for an album that can be enjoyed by the entire family, over and over again!” – Lauren Ramsey, Radio Host, Radio Disney 1590AM “AndyRoo’s music is delightful, insightful and just plain fun to listen and dance to! It was such a treat for our visitors to have him at the Museum. We look forward to his next performances” – Bunmi Gaidi, Arts Educator, Children’s Museum of Houston Karnavas describes the debut album: “AndyRooniverse is made of the expanding landscape of every child’s imagination. The album includes an AndyRoo sticker and is available on CD with black and white album art and a four-pack of crayons, so each child can color it in with their imagination and add their own personality to it.” AndyRoo is currently booking a nationwide tour, beginning with two shows at the Children’s Museum of Houston May 14, 2011, at 6:30pm and May 16, 2011, at 2:00pm. For those who want to add Welcome to the AndyRooniverse to their iPods or digital music players immediately, the songs are available for direct download at...
